## What Nexo Memory is

Nexo Memory is a Chrome extension and visual workspace for durable project context. It helps users organize goals, decisions, specifications, tasks, files and useful chat outcomes, then prepare focused context for ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, Gemini and other AI tools. It is a project-memory layer, not an AI model.

## Core workflow

1. The user creates or selects a project and its canonical memory provider.
2. The user organizes project information in tabs, cards and lines.
3. StartHere and context packs prepare focused AI-ready context.
4. The user works with an AI of their choice.
5. Durable AI-proposed changes return as Pending events for user review.

## AI interaction contract

- Read canonical memory before asserting project state.
- Use only user-shared or user-authorized context.
- Propose durable writes as Pending events, never as uncontrolled direct edits.
- State clearly that a created Pending event still requires user review and acceptance.
- Do not invent paths, IDs, permissions, saved state or access.
- If neither direct access nor authorized AutoBridge is available, state that saving is unavailable and explain the connection options.

## Storage and control

The user selects one canonical memory provider per project: Google Drive or GitHub. A verified migration can change that canonical provider. Drive keeps the control profile and project index; this does not force canonical memory to remain on Drive. The user controls permissions, shared context and acceptance of proposed changes.

- Cancellation stops future renewal. Access continues through the paid period; cancellation does not refund that period.
