What Nexo Memory is

Nexo Memory is a Chrome extension and visual workspace for durable project context. It helps a person organize goals, decisions, specifications, tasks, files and useful chat outcomes in one project memory, then prepare only the relevant context for ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, Gemini or another AI tool.

It is a project-memory layer, not an AI model and not a replacement for a user's preferred assistant. Its purpose is to prevent repeated explanations, fragmented context and unreviewed AI changes.

How the product works

  1. Create or select a project. Define its objective and short context, then select its canonical memory provider.
  2. Organize the project visually. Use tabs, cards and lines for plans, decisions, tasks, prompts, bugs, deliverables, references and other project-specific information.
  3. Generate useful context. StartHere and focused context packs turn selected project information into readable context for an AI conversation or task.
  4. Work with the chosen AI. The person decides what context to send. Nexo Memory does not silently read every external conversation.
  5. Bring durable outcomes back for review. An AI can propose Pending events. The user can accept, reject or delete each proposal before it changes stable memory.

Direct access and AutoBridge

Direct access and AutoBridge complement one another. With direct access, an AI can read the real canonical provider and propose verifiable events. With AutoBridge, an authorized AI website can request verified reads and send Pending-event proposals through the extension. Permission is requested in the browser when needed and can be revoked by the user.

Important: a manual export or copied package is useful for transfer and recovery, but it is not proof that a change has been saved to project memory.

Where project memory lives

Each project has one canonical memory provider selected by the user. Google Drive is often convenient for document-heavy or non-technical work; GitHub is often convenient for source code and version-controlled projects. The user can migrate a project's canonical memory between providers; the project is copied and verified before the canonical pointer changes.

Drive continues to retain the lightweight control profile and project index, including the canonical-provider pointer and, where applicable, encrypted GitHub-token support. That control profile does not force canonical project memory to stay on Drive.
